Testimonials We have just had a six night stay at this lovely b&b (three of us in two rooms). Very handy for main part of town. Very clean and warm. Plenty of hot water. Varied breakfasts to look forward to with a good pre-order system. Lounge with fridge for your own use also available. Both bedrooms were spotless, well decorated and very comfortable. Only thing I can negatively comment on is our double room was a bit small and not much space for hanging clothes. However that wouldn't stop me returning if I had to have that room again. It was a very minor issue. There us everything you need here. Kirsty and Ben are a good team and great hosts, even offering to put damp clothes in tumble drier after worst rain of the season. Loved it. Thank you Kirsty and Ben for a great holiday and hope you managed to use the pollock! We will come back to you if we are lucky enough.
Kirsty & Ben go the extra mile to make sure you have a lovely stay. Really nice room & great shower , spotlessly clean & cosy, lovely bed linen , & a big bath towel ! Tea & coffee making , really enjoyed my hot chocolate at bed time. Great system of ordering brekky, their home made muesli & yoghurt topped fruit compote really tasty , as was the cooked option.....spoilt for choice..... Kirsty's smoked haddock & poached egg was my fave.. Also the bacon, egg & melted cheese, scrummy! The cottage has a unique charm with Bens guitar collection & some old telephones.....we had many great conversations about the red phone box in the front garden ! Evergreen is in a great position , in the heart of Hugh Town , a stones throw away from the quay & the shops.
Stayed here the night before we went to Tresco. Really lovely. Great guest lounge with a fridge if needed. Fresh milk to go with tea and coffee in the room. Amazing breakfast. Location is perfect. Special thanks to Ben and Kirsty for kindly agreeing to be witnesses at our wedding at the Porthcressa Beachside Room. Thank you for making our day so special. We will be back.
Ben & Kirsty were fantastic hosts on our arrival and all through our stay. They made up very welcome, and Frodo Baggins, our hound, loved the place, and it's wonderful breakfasts. It may not be large, but it a very warm and comfortable place to stay in the centre of Hugh Town. We will be returning.
If you want big rooms stay away this is a cottage. If you want a blissful cottage with character and a lovely welcome you really will love this guest house the showers are really good in the en suite to get ready for getting out in the evening refreshed. The breakfast is wonderful masses of choice and great quality. Set us up each day for long walk boat trips and in my case shopping. We had our dog with us and he was also made very welcome. The lounge has a small fridge to cool some wine or what ever and glasses are supplied. The lounge is lovely comfortable and we had some fun with other guests at the end of the evenings. It was the best location for walks beaches and going out on the boats. The wifi worked great in the lounge. The pasties sold at the quay shop are the best I have ever had.
Evergreen Cottage is situated in the middle of everything in Hugh Town and Ben and Kirsty are the most friendly and helpful hosts. We were made welcome as soon as we walked in the front door. Cup of tea in hand within minutes. Our room was clean and tidy and we wanted for nothing. Breakfast was delicious every day and served with a smile and a chat. It's a home from home for sure. We even went to St. Martins to watch Road Runner on Saturday night with Ben and Kirsty, which we enjoyed and even had a dance! We'll be back. ;)
